Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori method of Catechesis. We currently offer CGS for ages 3–those in Kindergarten. Sessions will be at Immaculate Conception Atrium (Convent) and St. Joseph (Faith Center). There are 6 options:
Immaculate Conception –
CCD is for grades 1–8. It is held on Wednesdays at each of our churches from 6:45–8:00pm. Any child grades 1–8 can attend CCD at any of the church locations.
Life Teen is for all high school students. It is held on Wednesdays at the St. Joseph Hall from 6:30–8:30pm. Freshmen & Sophomores: Click here for additional information regarding preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation!
Cost for all youth ministry (CGS, CCD, Life Teen) is $50 per child or $125 for 3 or more children.
CGS begins the week of September 14th, 2026 and ends the week of April 26th, 2027.
Youth ministry for grades 1–12 begins September 9th, 2026 and ends April 28th, 2027.

IMPORTANT! All those registering for Youth Ministry must additionally complete the Permission and Release Form, found below. Please fill the form out electronically and email it to [email protected], or print it out and return it to the office (107 West Pearl St. Wapakoneta, OH 45895).
Vacation Bible School 2026 will be held May 26–29 at Immaculate Conception! It is open to all children entering PreK–4th grade in the 2026-2027 school year. Registration is now closed.
Steubenville 2025 will be held July 11–13. Please call the office to talk to Angie if you’re interested in registering. Forms can be found below and returned to Angie at the parish office.
