GriefShare

GriefShare is a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.

Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. A GriefShare workbook assists you with note-taking, journaling and grief study. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, dramatic reenactments about living with grief and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours.

GriefShare is currently in the middle of the session. The next session will begin in May of 2025. Check back later for details!

Loss of a Spouse

Loss of a Spouse is a single evening GriefShare seminar. The death of a spouse brings a unique kind of pain. People who are widowed haven’t just lost a loved one – they’ve lost an entire lifestyle. That’s why we’re offering this new program.
This two hour seminar works just like a typical GriefShare meeting or a Surviving the Holidays event, with a short video followed by a small group discussion. The video features expert Christian counselors, authors, and pastors, including new interviews with some of your favorites from the GriefShare curriculum.

Participants will also take home a valuable Loss of a Spouse booklet that includes:
  1. A video note-taking outline
  2. Devotional materials that help people find hope in God’s word
  3. Grief recovery exercises
  4. Journaling prompts

Loss of a Spouse will be held September 5, 2024 in the Adult Center at St. Joseph. It will be from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Call the office to register (419)-738-2115.

When Two Become One

When Two Become One is an opportunity to gather together to share and pray with others who have experienced the grief of losing a spouse. The class is currently held on the 2nd Monday of the month in the St. Joseph Adult Center from 6:30pm – 7:30pm, through the end of December. Call Lori Wilson at the parish office if you are interested in joining this group (419)-738-2115.

Surviving the Holidays

Surviving the Holidays is an opportunity to learn how to deal with grief during the holidays. No matter how long it’s been since your loved one died, grief can make the holidays a painful time. But there’s hope. Join us for an encouraging seminar that will help you survive the holidays and discover new reasons to enjoy them again.
The 2023 session has ended. Check back later for details on the next session!
